2021 토랜스제일장로교회 신학생 장학금
"교회다운 교회, 성도다운 성도"들의 공동체를 꿈꾸는 토랜스제일장로교회에서는 한어권(이민교회, 한국교회) 사역을 준비하는 신학생들을 위해 장학금을 제공합니다.
장학금 신청 대상자
미국 내에서 신학 공부 중인 대학원생으로서 한국어권 사역(Ministry or Teaching)을 준비하고 있는 자로서 현재 지역 교회에서 열심히 신앙생활하고 있는 자

장학금 종류
목회자 양성을 위한 장학금: 목회학 석사(M. Div.)과정 및 박사(D.Min.)과정 입학 예정자나 재학생
신학자 양성을 위한 장학금: 신학 공부를 위한 (M. Div 및 D.Min. 제외) 대학원 과정 입학 예정자나 재학생
지원서류
1. 장학금 지원 서류(Application)
2. 에세이 (2-3 Pages)
목회자 양성 장학금: "이 시대 이민 교회(or 한국 교회)를 볼 때, 나는 미래의 목회자로서 어떤 고민과 사명의식을 갖고 있는가? 구체적으로 이민 교회(or 한국 교회)가 개선해야 할 점과 그 해결 방안은 무엇이라 생각하는가?"
신학자 양성 장학금: "이 시대 이민 교회(or 한국 교회)를 볼 때, 나는 미래의 신학자로서 어떤 고민과 사명 의식을 갖고 있는가? 구체적으로 이민 교회(or 한국 교회)가 신학적으로 개선해야 할 점과 그 해결 방안은 무엇이라 생각하는가?"
3. 추천서 2인 (Academic 추천서와 Pastoral 추천서 각 1인 요)
4. 재정 상황 설명(Statement) 및 증명 서류 (예: 은행 statement, Income tax 1040 form copy, loan statement, etc. 제출 시 SSN나 계좌 정보는 가려 주십시오)
5. 가장 최근 학교의 공식 성적 증명서
6. 입학 확인서 (2021년 가을에 입학하는 학생의 경우)

2021 Torrance First Presbyterian Church Seminarian Scholarships
Torrance First Presbyterian Church strives toward our vision: ‘Real Church, True Christians,’ and we are offering scholarships for 1.5 or 2nd Generation Korean-American seminarians who are preparing for ministries.
Scholarship Beneficiaries
1.5 or 2nd Generation Korean-American Seminarians who are enrolled in their graduate theological program preparing for future English ministries.
* Those who received TFPC scholarship before cannot apply.
Scholarships Classification (You can only apply one)
Pastoral Ministry Scholarship:
Students who are enrolled in an M.Div or D.Min program, and currently serving in pastoral ministry at a local church.
Theological Academics Scholarship:
Students who are enrolled in a theological program in M.A in Christian Education, Th. M. Ph. D in Theology with an intention of going into the theological academic field.
Requirements
1. Application
2. Essay (2-3 pages) Topic - Please choose one of the two.
a. Future Pastoral Ministry: As you examine and assess the current state of Korean-American immigrant churches, what is your calling/vision as a future pastor/minister? (Please address an issue(s) and provide a possible solution)
b. Future Theological Scholar: As you examine and assess the current state of Korean-American immigrant churches, what is your calling/vision as a future theological scholar? (Please address an issue(s) and provide a possible solution)
3. Letters of recommendations (one academic and one pastoral)
- Must submit a digital copy
4. Financial statement and proof of financial need such as bank statement, Income tax 1040 form copy, loan statement, etc. Please hide your account number and SSN.
5. Official transcript from the most recent school
- Must submit a digital copy
6. Proof of Admission/enrollment (for those starting a program in Fall 2021)
