Accreditation Statements

World Mission University is accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation (5850 T. G. Lee Blvd., Ste. 130, Orlando, FL 32822, 407.207.0808) to grant certificates and degrees at the Associate, Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctoral levels.

The ABHE Commission on Accreditation’s recognition with the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) includes certificates, diplomas, associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degrees, including doctoral degrees. The Commission’s scope of recognition with the U.S. Department of Education does not include doctoral education.

The RN to BSN program at World Mission University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001,202-887-6791

The School of Theology is also accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS, 10 Summit Park Dr, Pittsburg, PA 15275; 412-785-6505)

In June 2023, the ATS Board of Commissioners approved a five-year experimental Doctor of Philosophy (Practical Theology) degree, permitting the degree program to be completed in a reduced-residency format.

ABHE, ATS and CCNE are accrediting agencies recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the United States Department of Education.

 

World Mission University has applied for Eligibility from the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). WSCUC has reviewed the application and determined that the institution is eligible to proceed with an Application for Accreditation. A determination of Eligibility is not a formal status with the WASC Senior College and University Commission, nor does it ensure eventual accreditation. It is a preliminary finding that the institution is potentially accreditable and can proceed within five years of its Eligibility determination to be reviewed for Candidacy or Initial Accreditation status with the Commission.
